Dniproavia Airways encourages the development of cultural and business connections between Ukraine and Azerbaijan

On the 17th May, 2014 the Press-Conference devoted to opening of the new flight en route Dnipropetrovs’k- Baku took place at the “Dnepropetrovsk” International Airport.

Among the participants there were: the representatives of the Dniproavia and IA “Dnepropetrovsk” Top-Management; Mr. Yevgen Udod, Head of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Committee; Mr. Gennadii Nemoga, Deputy Chief of Infrastructure Administration of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Committee; Mr. Sabir Rzayev, First Secretary Azerbaijan Ambassador in Ukraine; heads of regional Azerbaijani Diaspora Organizations- Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine, Azerbaijanis League of Ukraine, Union of Azerbaijanis Youth of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the biggest regional Tour Operators and Tour Agents, and Mass-Media.

“Opening of flights en route between Dnipropetrovs’k and Baku has been discussed for a long time at the level of Ukrainian- Azerbaijani relations. It’s main goal is the assurance of direct dialogue between two large Cities of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, consolidation of trade and economic relations, development of mutual cultural relations between Dnipropetrovs’k and Baku,”- as Mr. Yevgen Udod had pointed out.

Mr. Posylayev Sergii said: “Dniproavia Airways had got the proposals from Azerbaijani Diaspora to open direct flights en route Dnipropetrovs’k – Baku – Dnipropetrovs’k long ago. And, at last this year, despite the economic situation we have come to the conclusion to start flight operations at this destination”.

Opening of direct flights to Azerbaijan is based on the vital necessity of rather large Azerbaijani Diaspora which is located mainly in the Central and Eastern Regions of Ukraine: number of Azerbaijani people who have entered the territory of Ukraine within last year is 5 times more than the number of Ukrainians who have visited Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, number of tourists from Ukraine to Azerbaijan enlarges day after day.

Dniproavia prepared a nice surprise: the Certificate for Free Round-Way ticket en route Dnipropetrovs’k – Baku had been raffled off among the passengers of the first flight during Press-Conference.

Mr. Movsoum Aslanov had become the lucky owner of that Certificate!

In addition, passengers who were registered in the Dniproavia “Bonus Club” Loyalty program had been granted doubled bonus points for the first flight!

Direct flights from Dnipropetrovs’k to Baku will be convenient for people not only of Dnipropetrovs’k Region but for Kharkiv, Donets’k, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Kirovograd Regions as well.

Direct flights from Dnipropetrovs’k to Baku will be operated on Saturdays according to the schedule:

Departure time from Dnipropetrovs’k: 10:50 a.m., local time

Departure time from Baku:03:45 p.m., local time

Flight time is 2 hours 30 minutes.

In case of increase of demand it will be possible to perform flights 2 times a week (on Tuesdays and Saturdays).

In June 2014 the Dniproavia plans to start operations from Kharkiv to Baku.
